The Isle of Kerrera sits within the Inner Hebrides and protects Oban bay from the worst of the Westerly weather. An island that many more people view from a distance than will ever visit, it is separated from the Scottish mainland by the 4-mile-long, cold and dark, Sound of Kerrera. Only half a mile wide, in good weather it’s busy with small boats, divers and seals, in bad weather it’s only for the brave.
